What does a Home Care Package cost

When you have been approved as eligible for a Home Care Package you will receive a letter of approval from My Aged Care, advising the level of Home Care Package approved.

You must enter an Agreement with an approved Home Care Package Provider, who will receive the monthly subsidies and also manage the funds on your behalf.

Each Home Care Package Provider is required to outline their costs, for administration, case management and each service that you may require. You may also be required to pay a basic daily care fee and/or an income tested care fee if you are not on a full-aged pension.

It is recommended that you arrange a formal income assessment with the Department of Human Services to make sure that you are aware of any contribution required towards your Home Care Package if you are eligible for a Home Care Package.
